An exceptionally rare Ayyubid gold Dinar struck by Sultan al-Nasir Yusuf I — Salahuddin (Saladin) in AH 567 / AD 1169, the very first year he issued coinage. This coin also cites Nur al-Din Mahmud ibn Zengi, reflecting Salahuddin’s early association with the Zengid dynasty and his consolidation of power in Egypt and Syria.

Minted at al-Iskandariya (Alexandria), this gold dinar represents a historically significant piece from the beginning of Salahuddin’s coinage, combining both rarity and importance for collectors.
